"The Diner" is the seventh episode of the second season of Banshee: Origins and, therefore, the twentieth episode of the series overall. It first aired on January 9, 2014. The episode was written by Chris Yakaitis and directed by Babak Najafi.

SynopsisEdit

FIFTEEN YEARS AGO

Carrie is working as a waitress and gets a coffee pot and pours Gordon a cup. Carries to attend other tables and when she comes back Gordon hasn't made up his mind on what he wants Carrie brings up the books all over his booth. Gordon tells her he is studying for the bar exam and Carrie says she will come back when he is ready. Gordon asks if she is new in town and Carrie says she moved from New York and Gordon comments that people usually go the other way. She then notices Gordon's tattoo and gathers that he was in the marines and they talk about his war experience as well as his transition from solider to lawyer. Gordon mentions that he wants to be a prosecutor when they are interrupted by a customer who wants fresh coffee and Carrie puts on a fresh pot. Gordon asks if there is anyone special in her life and her replies that she is pregnant to which Gordon congratulates her. He asks about the father and Carries tells him the father is out of the picture and Gordon offers his condolences. They formally introduce themselves and Carrie asks what he wants to which Gordon tell her to surprise him. She goes back into the kitchen as they both look at each other.
