Hondo was a White Supremacist in Banshee. He is heavily tattooed and has a vendetta against Emmett Yawners and the Banshee Sheriff Department.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Hondo is a recurring character of the second and third season. He is played by supporting cast member Tyson Sullivan.

The name Hondo is purported to be Egyptian in origin meaning war or warrior. A fitting name as the Banshee Sherriff's Dept. declares war on him and his cronies in retaliation for the deaths of Emmett and Meg Yawners.

The choice of his name could be a reference to the character of Hando, an skinhead played by Russell Crowe in the Australian film Romper Stomper[1]. Hando is a brutal racist who leads his gang against the growing Korean immigrant community that he feels is taking over his hometown.
